Fixing Positions For Drawer Slides

Fixing Positions For Drawer Slides

The location of the drawer slide once affixed. Generally, if the slide is a ball bearing slide then it will attach to the side of the drawer, however, if the slide is a bottom fixed roller then naturally they will be attached to the bottom of the drawer. All our slides have multiple holes for easy fitting depending on the size of the carcass.

One important factor to consider when installing ball bearing drawer slides is the locations of the slides when fixed to the drawer unit. If this is done incorrectly then the load rating will not be preserved or worse the application will fail.

Recommended Fixing Positions

The image below shows a range of different fixing positions for your drawer slides that will ensure the load rating is maintained and the drawer slide will perform to its maximum potential.

Not Recommended Fixing Positions

The image below demonstrates how you should not fix the drawer slides to the application as this wouldn't maintain the load rating and we couldn't recommend this.

Inappropriate Fixing Positions

The images below show how drawer slides should definitely not be installed and would have a negative effect on the slides.
